Two pinned, openly-licensed GEMS datasets — nothing scraped, nothing inferred from manufacturer literature.
Sources
- Current registrations — the GEMS air-conditioner registration snapshot (6,028 records), used for the replacement candidate pool.
- Historical registrations — the Australian Government Energy Rating Historical energy-efficiency data (February 2021) workbook (20,901 records, covering GEMS from April 2012 to February 2021), used to resolve the legacy unit you search for.
Both are published by the GEMS regulator under Creative Commons Attribution. Contains data sourced from the Australian Government Energy Rating GEMS air-conditioner registration database, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Each file is pinned by checksum and the whole spine rebuilds deterministically from those two files.
What the register does not carry
- Physical dimensions, pipework, electrical or mounting-hardware detail beyond the recorded fields.
- Refrigerant global-warming-potential figures — BecSpec states the lower-GWP transition qualitatively and does not publish a GWP number it cannot source authoritatively.
- Whether any refrigerant may be charged into existing equipment, or whether a retrofit is valid.
