Sabakem Moxypyr: when is the water rate 70 or 100 L/ha?

For three reviewed ground-boom uses of Sabakem Moxypyr Herbicide (APVMA product 95518) against annual ryegrass, the minimum carrier-water volume changes with crop canopy and total weed density. BecSpec keeps those conditions attached to the exact use.

Reviewed rule

Minimum 70 L water/ha when the crop is not very leafy and total weed population is 200 plants/m² or less. Minimum 100 L water/ha when the crop is very leafy or total weed population exceeds 200 plants/m². The reviewed rules also require Smart Accel or equivalent at 0.5 L/100 L and a droplet class no smaller than MEDIUM.

Which registered uses does this apply to?

The production rule is joined to three current PubCRIS use identities: Clearfield Plus wheat × annual ryegrass, Clearfield canola × annual ryegrass, and Clearfield barley × annual ryegrass. The water-volume condition is not published as a product-wide instruction for unrelated uses.

Exact useStandard coverageHigh coverage
Clearfield Plus wheat × annual ryegrass≥70 L water/ha≥100 L water/ha
Clearfield canola × annual ryegrass≥70 L water/ha≥100 L water/ha
Clearfield barley × annual ryegrass≥70 L water/ha≥100 L water/ha

What triggers the 100 L/ha minimum?

Either of two label conditions is enough for the high-coverage rule: the crop is very leafy, or total weed population is more than 200 plants/m². BecSpec treats that as an applicability change. It does not show 70 L/ha as a universal minimum with the 100 L/ha condition hidden in a note.

Ground boom only in this reviewed rule

These machine-readable rules are for GROUND_BOOM. They also carry an aerial prohibition for these exact reviewed uses. BecSpec does not transfer the ground-boom hydraulic values to another application method.

Why no product dose is shown here

This page is about the reviewed carrier-water and droplet constraints. A water rate is not the chemical dose. Product rate remains a separate label field and must be checked for the exact crop, target and conditions. See water rate vs product rate for the distinction.

The production evidence joins current APVMA product 95518 and the exact PubCRIS uses to first-party label approval 95518/145928. The application rule was checked on 28 August 2026. Always confirm the current APVMA label before use because registrations and directions can change.
