BecSpec has one safely published aerial hydraulic variant for APVMA product 95445: pre-harvest grain sorghum on hilly terrain under the label conditions below. The non-hilly aerial baseline is deliberately not published.
Reviewed hilly-terrain rule
For the exact current PubCRIS use SORGHUM CONTROL × GRAIN SORGHUM - PRE HARVEST, aerial application on hilly terrain has a hard carrier-water range of 30–80 L water/ha, provided the structural applicability conditions are met.
The conditions are part of the rule
- Location is QLD, ACT or NSW.
- Production intent is not seed production.
- The variety is not prone to lodging.
- The crop is not stressed.
- Grain moisture is below 25%.
- Terrain is hilly.
If those conditions do not describe the job, this 30–80 L/ha variant should not be treated as the applicable BecSpec rule.
Why BecSpec does not publish the general 15 L/ha aerial baseline
The label contains broader aerial guidance as well as an explicit hilly-terrain override. Production does not yet encode a safe complementary “non-hilly” partition and precedence rule. Rather than infer one, BecSpec publishes only the explicit hilly-terrain variant and leaves the general baseline unenriched.
Pre-harvest is not post-harvest
The current register separately identifies post-harvest sorghum stubble use. BecSpec does not inherit pre-harvest aerial authority into that separate use. Cotton pre-harvest uses are also not treated as authorised merely because the product has an aerial section.
