Can I add a battery to a Fronius Primo 5.0-1 AUS?
Keeping this inverter generally points to an AC-coupled storage retrofit. Fronius' published Primo datasheet identifies the 5.0-1 AUS as a single-phase PV inverter in the SnapINverter generation, not a GEN24 battery hybrid.
What that means
BecSpec does not invent a native DC battery list for this model. A separate AC battery system can be assessed while retaining the working Fronius PV inverter, or the inverter can be replaced where an integrated hybrid architecture is preferred.
Backup
Any backup capability comes from the added storage architecture and site wiring, not from this Primo model itself.
