An exact inverter model resolves only part of a battery retrofit.

Never inferred

BecSpec does not determine cable sizing, protection, switchboard adequacy, battery placement, fire separation, DNSP approval, export control, phase balancing, backup-circuit design or site compliance. It does not promise that a battery will work merely because AC coupling is technically possible.

Rebate boundary

The tool may surface equipment-related program criteria, but it does not declare a household or installation eligible for a rebate or STCs. Current scheme rules, installer accreditation, product status and commissioning requirements still need confirmation at the time of installation.

Historical models

Legacy identity can be strong while current OEM support is weak. In that case the correct result is a generic retrofit pathway or UNKNOWN, not a fabricated compatible-battery list.
