GoodWe battery not following your charge or discharge schedule?

Current Australian GoodWe guidance exposes enough homeowner-facing TOU controls to diagnose several common schedule problems without touching commissioning settings.

1. Confirm the quoted/current family supports these controls

This guide is for current GoodWe hybrid/storage systems documented with SEMS+ TOU controls. Do not assume an older GoodWe generation exposes the same app behaviour.

2. Check grid charging permission

GoodWe documents a separate Grid Power Purchase Charging control. A 2am charge window will not buy energy from the grid if that permission is disabled.

3. Check the TOU direction and time window

In TOU mode each period can be configured for charge or discharge. Verify the intended period is actually set to the correct direction and that the start/end times cover the period you are testing.

4. Check charge cut-off SOC

The battery stops charging once the configured charge cut-off SOC is reached. If the battery is already at or above that target, the schedule can appear to do nothing.

5. Check charge/discharge power

GoodWe exposes grid-import charging power and battery discharge power as percentages of inverter rated power. A low power setting can make a working schedule look ineffective.
