Sungrow SH-RT battery schedule not behaving?
SH-RT belongs to Sungrow's current Australian HV-hybrid support family, but three-phase systems add another reason not to copy settings from older SH5K or single-phase SH-RS examples.
1. Confirm SH-RT, not SH-RS or SH5K
Sungrow publishes separate support resources for SH-RS and SH-RT. Keep model-family guidance separate even where iSolarCloud screens look similar.
2. Check user-facing charge/discharge schedules
If the app exposes forced-charge or discharge periods for the installed firmware, verify enabled days, time ranges and target SOC before assuming the battery or tariff logic has failed.
3. Check reserve / backup objectives
A reserve setting can intentionally stop normal discharge before the displayed SOC reaches zero. Backup design remains separate from whether a schedule is accepted.
4. Check VPP or other supervisory control
Sungrow's Australian FAQ identifies VPP and forced-charging state as checks when a battery charges or discharges unexpectedly.
5. Treat metering and phase issues as installer checks
If the system responds to the wrong phase/load or ignores site power flow, do not use a scheduling guide to alter CT ratios, meter wiring, export controls or commissioning settings.
