Which batteries work with Sungrow SH5.0RS?
Sungrow explicitly supports battery families on the SH3.0–6.0RS platform, but the answer is conditional.
OEM-supported families
The current Sungrow manual lists SBR064, SBR096/128/160/192, SBH100/150/200/250, SBS050 and BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS/HVM combinations. It also specifies minimum Sungrow BCU or BYD BMU/BMS firmware versions.
Why exact evidence matters
“Sungrow battery compatible” is too broad. Battery model, control-unit firmware and region all matter.
